FAQs
What is DoOne?
DoOne is a task list with a focus timer built in. You pick one task, and the timer runs for that task until you finish it or take a break. It is made for iPhone Duo and also runs on iPhone and iPad.
Is there an Android version?
Not right now. If there is a lot of demand for one, I might consider it in the future, so if you would like one, send me an email.
Is the app free?
Yes. The lists, the timer, widgets, the Live Activity, Siri and Shortcuts are all free. DoOne Pro is one optional purchase that adds the extras listed below.
What do I get with DoOne Pro?
iCloud sync, adding Apple Reminders to your lists, integrations with GitHub, GitLab, Linear, Todoist, webhooks and more, focus sounds, blocking distracting apps while you focus, and Brain Dump, plus new Pro features as they arrive. You pay once. There is no subscription.
I bought Pro but it is not unlocked. What do I do?
Open Settings in DoOne, tap the DoOne Pro card, then tap "Restore purchase". Make sure you are signed in to the Apple Account you bought it with. If a purchase is waiting for Ask to Buy approval, Pro unlocks as soon as it is approved.
Does Pro work on all my devices and with Family Sharing?
Yes. Pro belongs to your Apple Account, so it works on every device signed in to it, and it can be shared with Family Sharing.
How do I get a refund?
Apple handles all purchases and refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
How do I turn on iCloud sync?
Sync is part of Pro and is off until you turn it on in Settings, on each device. It starts the next time DoOne opens. Every device must be signed in to the same iCloud account.
My tasks are not showing on my other device.
Check that sync is on in Settings on both devices, that both use the same iCloud account, and that both are online. Then close and reopen DoOne on each one. A crossed-out cloud on the home screen means the device is offline; changes sync when it is back online.
I do not see Brain Dump in Settings.
Brain Dump runs on your device with Apple Intelligence, so it only shows on devices that support Apple Intelligence and have it turned on. It is in beta, so expect some quirks.
How do reminders work?
Reminders comes with DoOne Pro. Connect it in Settings > Integrations, and a Reminders tab shows your open reminders. Add one to a list as a task, and when you finish that task, DoOne completes the reminder. If you cannot connect it, allow DoOne to access Reminders in the iOS Settings app. To stop seeing your reminders, tap Disconnect on the same page.
Can I change how long a focus session or break lasts?
Yes. Settings lets you choose the length of focus sessions and breaks, and whether breaks or the next session start on their own.
What is desk mode?
Set an iPhone Duo half open on a desk and DoOne becomes a desk timer, with your task on the upper half and the controls on the lower half.
Privacy & Security
DoOne has no account, no ads and no tracking. Your tasks stay on your device, or in your own iCloud if you turn sync on. Brain Dump turns speech into tasks on-device using Apple Intelligence. For more details, please refer to the Privacy Policy.
